What this add-on does

Free Email Verifier for Google Sheets™ runs industry-standard checks on each email address in your sheet and writes the result back into new columns.

You can quickly:

• Remove invalid addresses that will bounce.
• Tag risky or catch-all domains before you send campaigns.
• Keep your sender reputation and deliverability healthy.

How to use it

1. Install the add-on from the Google Workspace Marketplace.
2. Open your Sheet → Extensions → Free Email Verifier for Google Sheets.
3. Select the column that contains email addresses.
4. Choose where you want the status columns to appear.
5. Click Verify and watch results fill in, row by row.

Checks we perform

Each address passes through several layers of validation:

• Syntax check – basic format & typos.
• MX record lookup – confirms the domain can receive mail.
• SMTP verification – safely pings the mail server to see if the mailbox exists.
• Disposable domain detection – flags temporary / throwaway providers.
• Catch-all domain detection – marks domains that accept everything as “risky”.
