This Privacy Policy explains how DesignScript (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use Email Verifier for Google Sheets (the “Add-on” or “Service”). We respect your privacy and comply with Google’s API Services User Data Policy.
1) What We Access
- Google Sheets content you select (email addresses and relevant columns) strictly to perform verification at your request.
- Basic Google account identifiers (e.g., user ID) only if needed for authentication and rate limiting.
We do not read unrelated files or other Drive content.
2) What We Do Not Do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not use your email lists for marketing.
- We do not transfer your lists to third parties, except processors required to provide the Service (see below).
3) Processing & Purpose
We process email addresses solely to verify status (e.g., valid/invalid/risky) via checks such as SMTP handshake, MX lookup, disposable domain & catch-all detection, and other technical validations. The results are written back to your sheet.
4) Data Storage & Retention
By default, email addresses are processed in memory and results are returned to your sheet. We do not persist your lists on our servers. We may keep minimal logs (e.g., timestamps, request counts, error messages, hashed identifiers) for security, rate-limiting, abuse prevention, and analytics; such logs are retained for the shortest time necessary and then deleted or anonymized.
5) Legal Bases (GDPR)
- Performance of a contract — to provide the verification you request.
- Legitimate interests — to secure and improve the Service, prevent abuse, and measure performance.
- Consent — where required for optional features.
6) Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object or port data. To exercise these rights, contact support@designscript.in. We will verify requests and respond as required by law.
7) Data Processors & Transfers
We may use reputable infrastructure or service providers (e.g., hosting, logging, monitoring) that process limited data on our behalf under data-processing agreements. Data may be transferred internationally and protected using appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses), where applicable.
8) Security
We apply administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the risk (e.g., encryption in transit, restricted access, monitoring). No method is 100% secure; users should avoid sharing sensitive data in spreadsheets where not necessary.
9) Children’s Privacy
The Service is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
10) Third-Party Links
The Add-on may link to third-party sites (e.g., Google). Their practices are governed by their own policies.
11) Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be reflected by a new “Last updated” date and posted here.
